Installation & Technical Notes
The Series 2 rotary is a precision machine. To ensure a successful installation and maintain your warranty, please follow these technical guidelines:

Complete Drivetrain Swap: This package includes the engine long block, intake manifold, 6-speed manual transmission, and clutch/flywheel assembly. You must utilize the Series 2 specific ECU and wiring harness to control the electromagnetic oil metering pumps.

Oil System Priming: Before the first startup, the engine must be cranked with the eccentric shaft position sensor disconnected to build oil pressure and lubricate the stationary gears and apex seals.

Ignition Health: Rotary engines are extremely sensitive to ignition health. We strictly recommend installing brand-new ignition coils, wires, and spark plugs immediately.

Essential Maintenance: We strongly recommend replacing the following parts during the swap:
-
Spark Plugs: NGK RE7C-L (Leading) and RE9B-T (Trailing).

Engine Oil: High-quality 10W-30 or 20W-50 Conventional/Idemitsu Rotary Premix.

Coolant: Genuine Mazda FL22 Green Coolant.

Transmission Fluid: 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Oil (GL-4).

Premixing: To further extend the life of your JDM apex seals, we recommend "premixing" a high-quality 2-stroke rotary oil into your fuel tank at every fill-up.
