The J35Y5 is a sophisticated, direct-injected engine. To ensure a successful installation and maintain your warranty, please follow these technical guidelines:

Long Block Conversion: This sale includes the engine block, cylinder heads, and internal components. You must transfer your original USDM intake manifold, fuel rail, direct injectors, wiring harness, and sensors. This ensures 100% compatibility with your vehicle’s ECU and emissions equipment.

VCM Components: While the JDM J35Y5 features the same Variable Cylinder Management architecture, we recommend swapping your original VCM solenoid/spool valve if your USDM unit is known to be in good working order.

Direct Injection Care: Ensure your original high-pressure fuel pump is cleaned and inspected before transferring it to the new engine. Any debris in the DI system can lead to immediate injector failure.

Essential Maintenance: We strongly recommend replacing the following parts during the swap:

Timing Belt Kit: Replace the belt, water pump, and hydraulic tensioner (Interference Engine).

Spark Plugs: Use only NGK Laser Iridium (DILZKR7B11G) specifically for the J35Y5.

Engine Oil: 0W-20 Full Synthetic oil only.

Coolant: Genuine Acura/Honda Type 2 Blue Long Life Coolant.

Transmission Pairing: Ensure the dowel pins are correctly aligned when mating the engine to the 9-speed ZF automatic transmission. Improper alignment can lead to front pump failure in the transmission.

ECU Adaptation: After installation, use a professional-grade scan tool to perform a "CKP (Crank Pattern) Learn" and clear all VCM adaptation values so the computer can sync with the new rotating assembly.
